An AI phone receptionist is a voice assistant that answers when your line is busy or the practice is closed. It books appointments, takes prescription and referral requests and gives opening hours. Urgent calls go straight to a person. It gives no medical advice, runs in the EU and sends your team a short note after every call.
Required since 2 August 2026. Voice and chat bots must tell callers at the start that they are talking to an AI (Art. 50 EU AI Act). Our greeting says so in its first sentence.

It takes the routine calls that keep your front desk away from patients. Every call ends with a short note: who called, what they wanted, what needs doing.
By your rules, not its own judgement. If a caller mentions chest pain or breathlessness, the assistant tells them to call the emergency number at once and transfers the call to your team. It does not assess anyone's health.
Compliance depends on where calls are processed, what is stored and which contracts are in place. The voice AI runs in an EU data center. We store no audio, only the call note. We sign a data processing agreement and a confidentiality undertaking; your data protection officer has the final say.
